• Ripe orchard fruits and light citrus. • Malty richness with soft honey. • Subtle waxy or mineral notes typical of Ben Nevis.
• Light oak influence and gentle spice.
• Slight earthy chracter.
• Full mouthfeel with a balanced finish.
Ben Nevis casks are consistently sought after, especially between 6–10 years old, due to their strong independent bottling reputation and limited availability. A 2015 hogshead is positioned in a highly desirable age bracket, appealing to collectors, bottlers, and buyers seeking high-quality Highland stock with distinctive character.
Ben Nevis Distillery, based in Fort William at the foot of its namesake mountain, is known for producing a robust, complex spirit with strong character. The distillery’s output is highly regarded by independent bottlers and enthusiasts due to its rich, slightly waxy, sometimes earthy profile. Ben Nevis is regularly in high demand on the private cask market due to limited availability and strong reputation.
